"Koi", Watercolor, 21 x 29
Jim Clark, an artist since the mid-seventies, creates both paintings and miniature pottery. His watercolors, typically of landscapes, buildings, and florals in a realistic style, have more recently included depictions of koi which, though still realistic, have begun to explore color and value in a more abstract way.
Jim joined the Chelsea Painters at the turn of the century. He is also a member of the Ann Arbor Potters Guild and Ann Arbor Women Artists, and both his paintings and pottery have won awards locally.

Hello Jim, I am totally enjoying your art work posted here. You certainly are a very talented man in so many different ways. I was gifted last week, by my dear friend Lana, one of your miniature pottery pieces and feel so blessed and quite frankly honored to have this signed piece that you made in 2007. I am preparing to get started with a miniature American colonial room box and am so happy to add this wonderful piece to the scene. Thank you so much for using your talents in such a special way. Most sincerely, Jean
