"Elation", Watercolor and Collage, 30x22
Barbara’s water media and collage paintings are abstracted images taken from her experiences with people and places. Having lived in Hawaii and Florida, tropical flora, landscapes and light inspire her simplified shapes, collaged texture and fresh color. In addition, the large, single figures that Barbara paints reflect her love for human gesture and unique dress.
A degree in Art History from U of M, visits to art museums in the United States and in Europe and active participation in several art groups and workshops reflect Barbara’s passion for art. For more than two decades, Barbara has had work in state wide juried exhibitions, private homes and permanent gallery and college collections.
