'Minard Mills Pond', Oil, 17 x 17
Hydrology - Chelsea Center for the Arts, Nov 15 – Dec 18, 2009
Toni’s painting ‘Minard Mills Pond‘ was accepted for theĀ Hydrology Exhibition
Struck by the beauty of the weed choked waters of the Minard Mills County Park Pond in Tompkins, Michigan. Toni painted a portrait of invasive water weeds one sunny day in summer. The coral red-orange colors attracted her attention. The only water visible was a well used canoe path cut through the water of the pond.
This juried exhibit was co-sponsored by the CCA, The Huron River Watershed Council and The Legacy Land Conservancy. It explored humans relationship to water and to the natural cycles of the planet.
