7 CP Members Juried Into Statewide Exhibit at Ella Sharp
Seven Chelsea Painters were juried into the 2010 Statewide Fine Arts Competition at the Ella Sharp Museum of Fine Art and History in Jackson, MI. This all-media exhibition can be seen January 16th – March 20th, 2010. With only 60 works accepted, the Chelsea Painters represent over 10% of this exhibition . . .
Painting Trade Produces Remarkable Results
During January several of the Chelsea Painters participated in a painting day fondly dubbed ‘Before and After’. Members traded old, unfinished paintings, adding a fresh perspective and a new hand to move unresolved paintings to completion. Participants not only had a lot of fun but the end results were remarkable . . .
Painting from a Model
During their weekly meeting last week the Chelsea Painters had a live model to work from. Members sketched and painted their impressions of the lovely young woman who agreed to sit for the group. Riverside Art Center Reception

Group Workshop with Betsy Dillard Stroud
