The Chelsea Painters Art Fair is held the first full weekend of June each year on the grounds of the Chelsea Community Hospital in Chelsea, Michigan. This event is popular among collectors of fine art and draws visitors from Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, with many returning year after year to see the latest work by member artists.
The setting for the Art Fair is a comfortably shaded area on the CCH campus with paved wheelchair-friendly walkways. Art activities for children are made available by the Chelsea Center for the Arts. The 2010 event will be the Chelsea Painters 37th Art Fair.

From humble beginnings in 1973, the Annual Chelsea Painters Art Fair has gone on to become the area’s premier Fine Arts fair. Twenty-five to thirty highly accomplished artists exhibit work done in a variety of media: watercolor, encaustic, gouache, acrylic, oil, pastels, monotype and mixed media.
All pieces on display are original pieces of Fine Art.
Many of the artists also display hand-crafted note cards suitable for framing.
Come Light Rain or Shine
The Art Fair will close for high winds, hail, lightning, strong rain or flooding
and re-open once the weather settles. The Art Fair will not re-open
if a storm strikes late in the day.

The Art Fair is held on the west side of the CCH campus (near what might be considered the back entrance to the Hospital). Watch for signs and use parking areas closest to Main Street (M-52).
A percentage of proceeds will be donated to the Chelsea Center for the Arts (CCA) and to the Chelsea Community Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Fund.
